FaithSFX

Human beatbox and producer, FaithSFX grew up in North London and started beatboxing in 2003 while in his final years at high school. He honed his music skills at Bigga Fish, part of Sound Connections, the London Youth Music Action Zone.

His talent has already seen him perform on ITV 1’s Bafta Award winning Paul O’Grady show, at the Prince’s Trust Urban Music Festival in 2004 and alongside established artists such as Radio 1’s Tim Westwood and Kano.

With each performance he developed his show incorporating different styles, beats, genres of music and other live artists all of whom where amazed by his abilities. In 2005 he was crowned UK Beatbox Champion and represented the UK at the Hip Hop World Challenge, in Leipzig Germany, in the same year.

He has produced tracks with artists and crews from the UK underground scene such as SLK, Akala, Professor Green, Narstie and Lman and released his first single, ‘Oh My’ in 2007. His production sound is entirely made from his beatboxing – there are no instruments or samples involved!

He has also opened for big Acts such as Jadakiss, Ludacris, Mobb Deep and made appearances on ITV, MTV, Channel 4, BBC 2, Kiss100, Radio 1, and 1Xtra as well as many pirate stations around London.

Translating his underground success into the mainstream he’s also featured in a Motorola advert, Hip Hop afficiando Kool DJ Herc says: “Faith SFX is the best thing coming out of the UK at the moment.”
