Want to play at a Barfly venue during Youth Music Week? We’re searching for five support acts to do a 30 minute set on the Barfly tour.

In association with Youth Music Week, the tour will take place in five Barfly venues across the country, giving young musicians aged 14-18 the chance to play alongside well respected, established bands. 

If you and your band members are aged 14-18 years old, all you need to do is upload a video or audio audition to www.youthmusicweek.org.uk to be in with a chance to play alongside the headlining band.

Doesn’t matter how many of you there are (solo artists welcome!) or what type of music you play, we’re just looking for great talent to give the punters a good time.

Entries close on September 30 and the best entries submitted will be asked to attend an audition on Saturday 11th October in London. The judging panel will be chaired by Fred Deakin from Lemon Jelly, along with range of music industry professionals.

The first 5 entrants for each venue will get free VIP tickets to one of the gigs. Everyone else that enters will also be put into a draw to win 5 VIP tickets!

Not in a band? You can still get involved by rating your favourite entry – everyone that registers gets entered into a prize draw to win VIP tickets to the Youth Music Week gig of their choice.All you need to do is upload a video or audio audition to the site www.youthmusicweek.org.uk

What is Youth Music Week?
Youth Music Week takes place from 25 October to 1 november 2008 and is Youth Music's annual celebration of young people's music making. As well as giving young talent the opportunity to get themselves heard, it's also the chance for aspiring musicians to try out what's on offer.
