VV BROWN - ONE TO WATCH IN 2009!

Latest pop sensation, VV Brown is getting ready to drop her new single 'LEAVE!', the second release off her debut album 'Travelling Like The Light', due out in May. Her style has been described as retro pop with an indie punk edge but she prefers to describe her sound as 'musical mashed potatoes'.

'LEAVE!' is due out March 2 and fits in just nicely with her supporting dates on tour with the Ting Tings (see dates below)

Brown is an established songwriter who has written for artists such as the Sugababes and The Pussycat Dolls but VV's had a busy few months working on her own career.  She was invited by Blur frontman Damon Albarn to go on the Africa EXPRESS tour in October 2008, during which she performed with artists such as Babyshambles, The Magic Numbers, 'Flea' from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bashy, Kano and other artists in Lagos, Nigeria. The tour ended with a performance at the BBC Electric Proms at KOKO in London. Top top it off, at the end of 2008 she was nominated for the BBC's Sound of 2009 award, alongside acts including Frankmusik, Little Boots and Lady GaGa.

On Thursday 12 February, VV will be performing live on the TV show, 'BBC Sound' and her website have some exclusive FREE audience tickets up for grabs for 16-22 year olds.
