IT'S A NUMBER ONE FOR TINCHY

New sounds from the pint-sized Prince of Grime

2009 has got off to a very good start for 21 year old, Ghanaian born and East London based Star in the Hood, Tinchy Stryder.

Having been tipped in 2008 as a rising star by everyone from Wiley (who gave him the name 'prince of grime') and Jack Penate through to MTV, Radio 1 and The Guardian, the world's hottest 5ft 3inch grime MC is proving worthy of the hype.

Tinchy Stryder’s 'Take Me Back' featuring Taio Cruz released in early January this year, not only debuted at no. 3, but also scored a no. 1 on the video airplay chart, a top 10 position on national radio airplay chart, and is still, over a month later, in the top 10 of both the UK iTunes and singles charts.

Following the success of 'Take Me Back',  Tinchy is set to unleash another hit. Also a collaborative effort, 'Number 1' features vocals from N-Dubz's Dappy, and is produced by their mutual friend Frazer T Smith. Dappy and Tinchy got on so well in the studio recording the track, that N-Dubz have invited Tinchy to join them on their tour. Once that tour is over he'll be hitting the festival circuit and gracing the stage at Glastonbury, T4 on the Beach and Underage

'Number 1'  will be released on April 13 and is the third track to be taken from Tinchy's forthcoming album due for release later this year.
