THE WOMBATS TURN SCROOGE

A new anti-xmas single from the merseyside marsupials

The Wombats have announced that they will release two new singles, the first new tracks to be recorded since the release of their debut album 'The Wombats Proudly Present...A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation' in November 2007.

The first single to be released on 15 December, is a special one-off anti-xmas song entitled 'Is This Christmas'.  The single will be released on CD and 7inch and all proceeds will go to MENCAP. 'Is This Christmas' will be followed by the single 'My Circuitboard City' on 9 February.  The latter single was produced by Tore Johanson who has worked with The Cardigans and Franz Ferdinand

The Wombats will play a massive homecoming headline show at the new Liverpool Echo Arena on 22 November where they will become one of the first indie bands to play the 10,000 capacity venue.  The gig will be their final show of the year before they take a break from touring to work on their new album.
