SHARP SHOTZ UNSIGNED 09 COMPETITION - CLOSING DATE 10 MAY!
Win the chance to record at Real World Studios joining the likes of Kylie,Stereophonics, Goldfrapp and Massive Attack
Sharp Shotz Unsigned 09 is open to all young musicians under the age of 25 and living in the UK in ALL music genres - from Grime to Classical and everything in between.
Songs must be based around one of two themes (see below), raise awareness of the consequences, and send out a positive message to young people.
1.Guns/Knives - 'Parallel Lives' - Everyone has the choice to carry or not carry a weapon.The facts are clear - you are more likely to be injured or worse if you carry a weapon, it would seem you are better off not to, but the CHOICE IS YOURS
2. Drugs - 'Turning my life around' - People get caught up in drugs and alcohol use, however just telling them to quit doesn't always work. Sometimes it takes a powerful shock for that person to step back and look at themselves and the hurt they may have caused other people.
You must be able to perform the song live - the 10 finalists will play live to a select panel at Real World Studios. Your song should be 3 minutes or less in length and should have an instrumental section which is around 20-30 seconds long and the songs should be suitable for broadcast to any age group.
The Prize:
- To Record your song at the world class Real World Studios, where Kylie, Stereophonics, Goldfrapp and Massive Attack have all recorded
- To have your song used as a title track for a winning animation.
- To enjoy wide distribution of your song
- To play live at the Sharp Shotz Premiere
