INSTITUTE OF COMTEMPORARY MUSIC PERFORMANCE LAUNCHES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
£30,000 available to talented musicians - applications close March 27,2009
London's Institute of Contemporary Music Performance has announced the launch of over £30,000 worth of scholarships for deserving students to study on the renowned Institute Higher Diploma course starting October 2009.
- The scholarship categories are as follows:
GUITAR: Yamaha Guitar Scholarship supported by Musicradar.com
BASS: Musicman Bass Scholarship supported by Bass Guitar Magazine
DRUMS: Mapex/Paiste Drum Scholarship supported by Drummer Magazine
VOCALS: Metropolis Studios Vocal Scholarship
Each category includes one full scholarship (worth £5,250 to the winner) and one partial scholarship (worth £2,600 each). Applications are invited from students both from the UK and internationally.
The Higher Diploma is a specialist one-year full-time course, developed by the Institute to train and develop students of guitar, bass, drums and vocals for a career in the music industry. It is the first full-time course of its kind ever developed in the UK and many graduates of the Institute can be found in the music industry, working with artists of the calibre of Babyshambles, Lemar, Radiohead, Eric Clapton, Keane and KT Tunstall.
The annual programme of Institute scholarship awards represents a fantastic opportunity for deserving students to access world class training and tuition at one of the world's leading schools of contemporary music.
