AGED 11-21? AUDITION FOR YOUTH MUSIC THEATRE UK

Do you have a passion to perform and want to be part of the UK's leading youth arts organisation?

Youth Music Theatre UK is offering you exclusive pre-booking for our 2010 auditions! Auditions for young people aged 11-21 take place in January and February 2010 across the whole UK but places are limited and many sessions fill up quickly. So if you want to be assured of a place, get in quick!

YMT is the UK's leading youth arts organisation working in the field of musical theatre. It's supported by the teachers union, the NASUWT, the Department for Children Schools and Families, Youth Music and the Arts Councils of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland amongst many other organisations.

In 2010 they'll be staging at least seven incredible new musicals at some of the UK's most prestigious theatres and festivals, put together by some of the nation's very best creative teams. If you are aged between 11 and 21 and have a passion to perform, this could be for you!

Last year they presented eight shows including:
Peter Pan by Nick Stimson and Jimmy Jewell at the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, now opening at London's Bridewell Theatre on 21st December;  Loserville: The Musical by Elliot Davis  and James Bourne (from Busted, Son of Dork and songwriter for McFly) with Musical Director Martin Lowe from Mama Mia and Jerry Springer the Opera; and A Winter's Tale with music & lyrics by Howard Goodall (from BBC2, Classic FM and composer of TV theme tunes including Blackadder, Mr Bean, The Vicar of Dibley and QI) and book by Nick Stimson (NHS: The Musical)

The 2010 programme will include five new shows and revivals of others with opportunities for about 300 young people selected from auditions.

The YMT:UK audition team will be visiting more UK towns and cities than ever before. This year we are visiting Liverpool for the first time - here's the complete list:

Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow
Belfast, Derry, Newry, Dublin
Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool
Birmingham, Leicester, Cambridge
Cardiff, Bristol, Plymouth
Southampton, Bracknell, London

Regardless of whether you have been involved in lots of shows or if you have never set foot on stage - if you have a passion for performance and want to learn new skills, meet new people and be in with the chance of joining an extraordinary 2 or 3-week project next Summer, make you book your audition today!
