KASABIAN - THEN THERE WERE THREE!

BAD NEWS - Kasabian kick out guitarist/keyboard player Chris Karloff GOOD NEWS: News album on the way!

Hippy rockers Kasabian announced this week that lead guitarist/keyboard player Chris Karloff has left the band. Karloff and the band experienced certain “creative and artistic differences during the writing and recording of their second album”. As a result,  the band asking Karloff to leave and he is said to be planning to pursue his musical career elsewhere. Tom, Serge and teh other Chris will continue to carry the Kasabian musical torch.

Amid all the controversy they’re releasing their new single ‘Empire’ on August 21. It is the title track from the band's new album ‘Empire’ which comes out on September 4. Serge said: "When the first single comes out people are going to be asking 'What the f*** are these lads on?' It's all about the tunes. It's just a classic record and that's the exciting thing. That's exactly why I wanted to be in a band".

They’ve been out of the charts for a while but you might have heard the band’s cover of David Bowie’s 'Heroes' track as the background music on ITV's World Cup coverage.

Look out for Kasabian at the V Festival where they’ll be headlining both the Chelmsford Hylands Park and Weston Park sites on August 19 and 20.
