Well, it’s been a long journey since we launched Build A Band 2008, our search for the five music talents of the future to play at Glastonbury but we’ve found them!

Congratulations to the multi-talented London band Alex, Abi, Archy JJ and Ben who will work with the Build A Band Musical Directors next week to write their own song and then perform it LIVE in front of 5,000 punters on the Left Field Stage Sunday June 29 at 8pm!

Drummer JJ told us: “That’s amazing, that’s awesome. I don’t know what to say, I’m speechless!” Bass player Alex agreed: “Wow! I'm so excited to play at Glasto now… It's seriously the experience of a lifetime. I'm looking forward to it, I can hardly wait!"

The band will also get live the full on festival experience and rub shoulders with some of the other star performers at Glasto! You’ll be able to follow their journey online here as we’ll be following them every step of the way with a video crew!

Youth Music would like to commend all the 2008 Build A Band entrants, the standard this year was incredibly high with outstanding musicians also in the regional winning bands in Manchester, Bristol and Liverpool.
